Proposed itinerary and additional information
DAY 1 - Wednesday, We depart Austin, TX to ISRAEL.
Day 2 - TEL AVIV/GALILEE
Upon arrival in Tell Aviv, we head north we see Jaffa, Caesarea, for our first night at the Hotel/Kibbutz located on the shores of the Sea of Galilee.
Day 3 - GALILEE
We arise for an inspiring boat ride and meditation on the Sea of Galilee. The boat is designed after those of Jesus' time. See the 2000-year-old Jesus boat. We pass Tabgha, site of the multiplication of the loaves and fish. Visit CAPERNAUM then on to the MT. OF BEATITUDES for a tranquil, breathtaking view, prayer and worship. After lunch, we drive to MEGIDDO scene of the final battle of ARMAGEDON. We ascend the Tel where Solomon held one of his chariot cities. Journey through the lovely hillside to NAZARETH - to visit the Nazareth Village. We view CANA and the Horns of Hittin and learn about the Galilee of the Gentiles. Tonight we have a welcome dinner, we will meet soldiers and local people. Overnight at our Hotel in the Galilee.
Day 4 - GALILEE
We start the day going north to lovely springs of Banias, site of CAESAREA PHILLIPI and the scene of Peter's confession of Jesus as the Messiah. We journey on through the picturesque Golan Heights near the Syrian border. A special activity today is the fulfillment of the act that every pilgrim to the Holy land is asked to do, plant a tree. More activities tbc.On our way, back we stop at a little river with a big name - RIVER JORDAN! There will be a baptismal service for those who wish to be baptized. Dinner & Overnight at our Hotel in Galilee.
Day 5 - MASADA/DEAD SEA
We leave the Galilee area and head south toward Beit Shean near Mt. Gilboa where Saul fell. Continue south to the Dead Sea. On the way view the sites of Sodom and Gomorra. Starkly grand schemes of the Judean and Negev deserts surround us as we ascend by cable car to the magnificent ruins of MASADA, fortress where 967 zealots were martyred in 73 AD. In the east, view MT NEBO where Moses viewed the Promised Land. We view QUMRAM, where the Essenes hid the Dead Sea Scrolls. Then on to the DEAD SEA - getting “dirty” with the special mud and floating!!, we learn about Ein Gedi - beautiful oasis where David found refugee from Saul. In the evening hours, we ascend the Judean Mountains and finally, in the distance we see... JERUSALEM! It is a moment to be indelibly implanted on your heart and soul! “His foundation is the Holy Mountain. The Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the other dwelling places of Jacob. Glorious things are spoken of you, Oh City of God” (Ps. 87:1,2). Dinner and overnight at Hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 6 - JERUSALEM
We begin our day with a breathtaking view of Jerusalem from the MOUNT OF OLIVES, after an in depth orientation of the city, we walk the path to the lovely GARDEN of GETHSEMANE, where Jesus spent the night before His betrayal. We cross the valley to visit the TEMPLE MOUNT and see the DOME OF THE ROCK on MOUNT MORIAH (where Abraham was prepared to sacrifice His son, Isaac). View the GOLDEN GATE - the site where the Lord entered on Palm Sunday and where He will enter again when He returns. We literally walk in the footsteps of Jesus as we step back into the world 2,000 years ago. Visit the WESTERN WALL (bring your prayers!!) and stroll through the ancient winding streets of the Old City of JERUSALEM. Time permitting, we will walk on the walls (ramparts) of Jerusalem to see the’ city from above’. Dinner with special guests and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 7 - JERUSALEM
We begin at Mount ZION where we will visit KING DAVID’S TOMB & MUSEUM and the UPPER ROOM (believed to be the room of the Last Supper). We view at a distance the CHURCH OF ST. PETER GALICANTU, built over the home of the high priest Caiaphas, where Peter denied Jesus and the prison area where Jesus was imprisoned prior to His crucifixion. We walk the ancient road where Jesus must have walked before. He went to Calvary and paid the supreme sacrifice for the sins of the world. We pass the valley of GEHENA and view the ancient JEBUSITE WALL and the excavations of the CITY OF DAVID, probably the oldest ruins to be found in Jerusalem. Numerous new excavations have been opened, and as time permits, we will be exploring some of these fabulous finds, including CAIAPHAS tomb. Dinner We will invite new immigrants/soldiers or relatives of victims of terrorism to share their story with us. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 8 - JERUSALEM
Visit the model of the Old City as it was at the time of Jesus, proceed to the YAD VASHEM, a museum and memorial to the 6 million Jewish people killed in the Holocaust. In the afternoon we visit the GARDEN TOMB, where we believe Jesus was buried in Joseph of Arimatea's new tomb and where He arose from the dead “Come see the place where the Lord lay” (Matt. 28:6). We walk through the quiet, restful garden and look up towards the skull shaped hill of CALVARY. There will be time for prayer, meditation, sharing and communion. A Shabbat dinner at Yad HaShmona Biblical Gardens or at Ramat Rachel. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 9 - JERUSALEM
Visit Christian Ministries in Israel then, weather permitting, today we go on camel rides or jeep safari (optional) in the Judean Desert. Special tour and Teaching of the Eternal Covenant God has with the People of Israel. Lunch picnic in the desert or at a Bedouin tent and much more. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. Time permitting, in the evening, we meet with Israeli Youth, Victims of Terrorism and Israeli Soldiers. The Covenant. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 10 - Special program in the morning and free the rest of the day for shopping and exploring the city of Jerusalem on your own. Pack and prepare to return home after this unforgettable journey through the Holy Land. Leaving from Tel Aviv to Austin, Tx.
Day 11 - Saturday, Nov01 - Arriving Austin, Tx with many photos and amazing stories to share with family and friends.
