Description
This piece of jewelry was created by a Dutch sculptor and an Israeli jewelry designer. The Lion of Judah, symbolic of Israel’s Jewish heritage, was created as a zinc and copper sculpture, by Peter Wortel in 2011, for an open-air exhibition in Holland.
Israeli Dalia Stav, creates beautiful pieces of jewelry in gold, silver, and with precious stones in her studio in Jerusalem. Peter and Dalia met in Jerusalem in 2019 and inspired by Rita Adams of Casa Israel, together they created this piece of art, traditional art using modern techniques, transforming a large sculpture into a beautiful wearable pendant.
